Scenic City: The Ultimate Fastpitch Experience

Scenic City Summer 2025 brought the kind of scale and energy most travel softball tournaments only hope to reach. Scenic City is The Ultimate Fastpitch Experience for players, coaches, and families alike. With 473 teams competing across 67 fields in and around Chattanooga, this year’s event was buzzing.

College coaches lined the fences, tournament tees sold out faster than ever, and every park was packed with competition and community. What truly made Scenic City stand out wasn’t the size. It was the sense that something bigger was happening on and off-the-field.

The Experience That Sets This Showcase Apart

There’s a reason players, families, and coaches call Scenic City a must-attend event. It’s more than just a packed tournament weekend. It’s a fastpitch softball showcase designed for player development, exposure, and unforgettable experiences all rolled into one.

One of the most impactful highlights of the event was the All-Star Game, where players from different teams and states came together to compete side-by-side. These athletes had to build chemistry on the fly, perform with new teammates, and step into an unfamiliar setting with confidence. It mirrored the expectations at the college level and gave players a preview of what that future could look like. Connections happened quickly. We saw many players exchange Instagram and TikTok handles, along with their numbers, to stay in touch after the weekend.

That same level of depth and opportunity showed up in the instructional camps. Hosted at neutral locations and led by college coaches, these sessions gave players access to high-level insight in real-time. During one scrimmage, Coach Lawson from Kentucky called a time out during a dead ball, walked onto the field, and brought everyone together.

She broke down the play that had just happened and talked them through what could have been done differently. It was a teaching moment that stuck with athletes and captured exactly what Scenic City is all about.

In between games, the personality of the tournament really came through. Dugouts were filled with team traditions, mascots, and good-luck charms that made each team’s space feel uniquely theirs. Throughout the weekend, athletes embraced mini-mic moments, joined in on TikTok trends, and brought the event to life online. Scenic City was tagged in countless posts as players showcased their personalities off the field. These details added a layer of energy, fun, and familiarity, reminding everyone that joy and team culture belong in the game just as much as competition.

One of the most meaningful parts of the week was seeing former players return, not just to visit but to help bring the event to life. Scenic City welcomed a crew of 10 alumni to assist with park setup, field prep, and signage before the first pitch. Throughout the weekend, these former Scenic City standouts worked alongside players, coaches, and families in the summer heat, keeping umpires and college coaches hydrated and supported. As the tournament wrapped, they handed out champion T-shirts and trophies, posed for photos, and even starred in a TikTok video that went viral. Briley Burns shared, “Working at Scenic City is a full circle moment! I get to see all of the extra work that goes into the tournament. It is so fun to see the game evolve and the staff makes it extra enjoyable!” Having former players come back year-after-year is everything that defines The Ultimate Fastpitch Experience.

Beyond the Ballfields: Why Chattanooga Adds to the Magic

As full as the days were on the field, the Scenic City experience didn’t stop when the last game ended. Chattanooga became part of the week’s story, offering players, families, and coaches a chance to relax, explore, and connect beyond softball.

Now officially recognized as the first National Park City in North America, Chattanooga brought something unique to the table. Between games, teams took in the scenic riverwalks, hiked local trails, and enjoyed easy access to parks, green spaces, and local attractions. Some groups made their way downtown for team dinners or visited the Tennessee Aquarium for a quick reset before bracket play.

Scenic City gave athletes a competitive stage. Chattanooga - The Scenic City - gave them space to connect as a team. For many, it’s a summer highlight!
