Connect Sports began in 2013 when Jill and Jeremy Higdon ventured out on their own, taking two small tournaments with just 95 teams and going all in with bold ideas. Their vision was simple yet powerful: create opportunities for female athletes to grow and compete.
Over the past 15+ years, that vision has grown into a national movement. Today, Connect Sports is recognized as one of the premier organizers of fastpitch softball tournaments, showcases, and recruiting opportunities. Our events are trusted across the country because they deliver elite competition, unmatched college coach visibility, and a community-driven atmosphere that inspires athletes, coaches, and families alike. We like to call it - The Ultimate Fastpitch Experience.
At Connect Sports, our purpose is to uplift women and girls at every stage of life. Empowerment is at the core of our mission. More than 80 percent of our core staff are women who lead with vision, inclusion, and balance. College athletes often return to serve as event staff, where they gain mentorship, professional skills, and income while giving back to the next generation.
Our purpose is bigger than the game. We are here to build leaders, role models, and a community where every athlete has the chance to thrive.
